Gov. Pete Ricketts, who opposes medical marijuana, recently published an op-ed that appeared in multiple local newspapers across Nebraska. The piece is filled with cherry-picked statistics and misleading arguments that lack context. For example, he claims that reforming marijuana laws "sends the wrong message" to youth but fails to mention that researchers have found that medical marijuana laws do not increase teen marijuana use.

Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana is encouraging supporters to respond by submitting letters to their local newspapers. From personal stories to fact-based arguments, the campaign is working to share the truth about this issue with voters.
